Notes:

My favorite new discovery of this session was Necromandus - their initial claim to fame was being discovered, managed and produced by Tony Iommi, and there are some similarities to the more prog side of Sabbath. Neu! 2 inspired an album of mine without my actually hearing it - See, the backstory to the album is that they ran out of money partway through the sessions, so most of side b was the same two songs being sped up, slowed down, or otherwise manipulated - I remembered hearing about this when I was running way behind schedule on an RPM album I was supposed to complete at the end of the month, and decided to try the same thing. In general, the early 70's is turning out to be one of my favorite periods of music - at very least anytime I've hit a year between 1970 and 1975 I've found some exciting stuff.
